In all my years as in the Fitness Industry as a trainer, teacher, and business owner I have never been impacted by  course or certification like the StrongFirst experience. I can honestly say that going through my Certification in 2009 changed me as a trainer and how I thought about the human body, strength, and training philosophy.  Nearly 7 years to the day of my first Kettlebell Certification with Pavel Tsatsouline, I am proud to say  I am able to host the SFG Certification at my training facility, Evolution Fitness  in Tucson Arizona. The Certification will take place February 19-21, 2016. It is 3 full days of intensive learning, training, and physical exertion.

Over the years of attending, assisting, and leading teams at certifications, one of the most important factors in passing this certification is being prepared. Many people think that being prepared means that they can pass the snatch test. What many people fail to understand is that the snatch test is just one part of the weekend. Training for the SFG means understanding and owning the movements. One of the most intensive parts of the certification weekend is the technique test. The other very important thing to understand is the volume of training experienced over the entire weekend. The goal of the StrongFirst Certification is not to serve a physical beat down, but the volume of swings, cleans, snatches, presses, squats, and get-ups will add up and you will be tired and sore for many days. Your  body and mental approach must be prepared for the weekend. The snatch test and technique testing are on Sunday so it is important to make sure you can hit all the standards not being 100% fresh.

We are excited to be offering a series of classes geared towards helping people prepare for the 3-day SFG  Certification. There will be a total of 7 classes over the next 3 months that will focus on mastering the technique of the main 6 exercises tested at the Kettlebell Certification. We will cover the common errors that many people have trouble with at the Certification. We can’t guarantee that you will pass the Certification by attending these classes but we will promise that you will show up well prepared and completely aware with the rigorous standards you will be facing over the weekend.

We will start the classes by covering in detail the standards of all of the exercises tested at the Certification. Each participant in the class will then be tested on day 1 to get a baseline of their technique and we will offer very detailed critique of their form and the appropriate drills will be prescribed to help the participant improve.

We will give some baseline programming for most participants to follow, but some participants may need a more specialized program. For those needing an individualized program we can design a program for an additional fee.

ALL CLASSES TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY MORNINGS AT EVOLUTION FITNESS AT 9AM

Each Class will last roughly 75 minutes

IF you are registered or planning on registering for the SFG these classes are going to be extremely beneficial for you.

If you don’t plan on taking the SFG Certification, but want a much deeper skill set in your kettlebell training these classes will be extremely helpful in your practice of strength. Your confidence in working with the kettlebell will improve tremendously.

For Members of Evolution Fitness that want to participate these classes we have a very low cost option for you. We did our best to keep the cost down for members and non-members.

MEMBERS:  The series will cost $169 for all 7 sessions.

NON MEMBERS: The series will cost $209 for all 7 sessions
