We have been proud to host some of the of the best Fitness and Strength continuing education events, workshops, and competitions to Tucson, Arizona. Since 2010 we have hosted world renown experts such as Pavel Tsatsouline, Coach Dan John, Paul Carter, and others. We have hosted the StrongFirst Kettlebell, Barbell, and Body Weight Certifications. We also have held the 100% Raw Powerlifting National Championships and USPA Powerlifting. We will continue to bring in numerous events to Tucson.

2 Age Group Categories: Ages 8-10 and Ages 11-13
Both programs will be focusing on the fundamentals to help kids move better, teaching the fundamentals of mobility and stability, while keeping it fun with structured games and exercise. Coach Jesus Acuña will be running this program himself, not only is he a certified strength coach, but Coach Jesus was a PE teacher before being the GM and Coach at Tucson Strength.

We will also be covering some great assistance exercises and programming strategies to develop your deadlift.
If you are unfamiliar with the deadlift or are an experienced lifter feeling stuck or stalled with your progress this is a great opportunity to work on your lift.
This workshop will be taught by owner of Tucson Strength and Tucson Barbell Club Danny Sawaya.

This is a lift that is close to me. I thought I would never be able to squat with a bar on my back after I injured my back in my 20s. Through diligent practice and using the methods I’m going to teach in this workshop I hit my best squat numbers at 40years old. I will teach the fundamentals of proper warm up/mobility, set up, breathing, bar placement, foot placement and everything else that goes along with the squat. Most of us will have a different stance and set up and I will work with each participant to make sure we help problem solve and figure out where each person should be.

This is going to be an awesome day of heavy lifting in Southern Arizona. This meet will offer Full Power, Deadlift Only, and Bench Only competitions. Meet will be capped at 60 lifters.

If so this is 6 week series will address all the fundamentals of building the strength base to achieve your first pull-up or become more awesome at them. We don’t guarantee you will get you first pull-up in 6 weeks as there numerous factors in achieving this, but you will have a great base of training to with! Not only will you receive the 6 scheduled classes on Saturday mornings you will also receive a program to do on your off days to work towards your goals.
